"I told you to be quiet"

So today at Oceans of Fun we were walking and Brooke was chewing on the strap of her lifejacket. I told her to stop and she stopped but said something that didn't quite register w/ me. A couple minutes later she was chewing again and I told her to stop. She looked at me and said "I told you to be quiet!"
